Pierre Girieud (1876-1948) often took his subjects from mythology and sacred legends. A very influential artist in the early 20th century Paris art scene, he was good friends with Picasso and was considered the leader of the French symbolist group. In 1910 he became a member of the Munich New Artists Association and he associated with Jewlensky, Franz Marc and Kasndinsky. These five mythological lithographs are very dynamic, dark impressions and are very rare. This print is in good condition. It was published by Mourlet and is hand signed in pencil. Limited edition 90/100.
