Frederic Remington, born 1861 in New York, is one of America’s foremost Western artists. Having graduated from Yale in 1880 he found his way West and fell into the rugged life style that he came to love. He soon realized he was witnessing the end of an era and was determined to record the Old West before it disappeared thru paintings, sculpture, prints and short story’s. He died of appendicitis in 1909 at the young age of 48.This print is from Colliers Weekly and is in good condition. It has the original center fold.
