Benjamin Waterhouse Hawkins ( 1867 – 1894 ) was an English sculptor and natural history artist. He was also a zoological lecturer. He was well known for designing and casting the worlds first mounted dinosaur skeleton which was displayed at the Academy of Natural Sciences in Philadelphia. Although he created beautiful lithographic bird prints he spent most of the rest of his life recreating dinosaurs all over North America for prestigious organizations. This beautiful Eagle lithograph is in very good condition. The left side paper edge is a little worn but does not go into the image.
