A truly exquisite piece. The detail and the emotion is an example of Raphael’s greatness. Some foxing and rippling of the paper is throughout however the rippling is accentuated by shadows in the photograph and is not as apparent in the original. This piece was commissioned by the King of Spain and engraved by Massol.
