From “Brown’s Portrait Gallery”, a 1931 re-issue of the 1845 edition originally entitled “Portrait Gallery of Distinguised American Citizens”. Richard Johnson was a U.S. Vice President in 1837 under President Martin Van Buren. This print has some tears in the margins and one in the upper right corner of the image. There is more of a yellowish tone to the background than appears in the photo. This image is published by E.B. and F.C. Kellog.
