This very dramatic print shows the Russian army on it’s way to the front during the Russo-Japanese war (1904- 1905 ). This scene has significant historic value. It is believed that the Trans Siberian Railway shown here in this lithograph published by The Graphic in 1904 was one of the reasons Russia lost the war. This one way single track train caused significant strategic and supply difficulties for the Russians giving the advantage to the Japanese. While the Russians were waiting for supplies and troops the Japanese rapidly advanced. It is in good condition with the original center fold.
