Paul Wood studied art at the Springfield School of Fine Arts and the Art Students League in New York City. He became well known for his watercolours and etchings of animals and birds. In the 1930’s his etchings were published by the Paris Etching Society and exhibited in the United States and France. “Le depart” is a fine example of this prolific artists work. The top right corner is creased and the bottom left margin has a few small tears. The plate-mark and image are not effected and are in good condition. This print is signed and titled in pencil by the artist. Published by Sydney Z. Lucas of the PES .
