Henry Alexander Wise

From “Brown’s Portrait Gallery”, a 1931 re-issue of the 1845 edition originally entitled “Portrait Gallery of Distinguised American Citizens”. Henry Wise had a long and prominent history in American politics. He was also Governer of Virginia from 1856-60. This print is accompanied by a facsimile of a letter written by Mr. Wise and his biography. This print is in good condition. There are several tears in the right margin.
