Girard College opened in 1848 as a school for fatherless white males between the ages of six and ten. In the 1960’s Girard became the symbol center of the struggle for racial equality in Philadelphia. In 1968 Girard welcomed its first minority students. An historic print in good condition. There is one spot in the clouds on right side that has been repaired.
