A Face in the Windmill shows what a true Spaniard at heart Dali is as he pays tribute to Cervantes. Perhaps more than in any other interpretation of the scene we see the windmill as though thru the eyes of Don Quixote himself. Dali’s ability to see the double aspects and transformations of commonplace objects makes him perhaps best qualified to illustrate the work of Spain’s greatest writer. This original hand signed limited edition ( 149/150 ) lithograph published by Sidney Lucas, New York City in 1965 is in good condition with some damage to the outer lower right margin.
