Boy Practicing portrays a boy in blue pants sitting on a red stool with a music stand in front of him lost in his flute playing. The young boy is surrounded by exploding colors that seem to be created by his intense dedication to his music. This piece is a limited edition 36/215 signed lithograph with a black frame blue mat and a black fillet. The frame size is 25.25 x 19.75 and the image size is 16.50 x 10.50. It is in very good condition. California artist Bernice Lee Singer known as Burr Singer ( 1912 – 1992 ) was born in St. Louis Missouri , and studied at that city’s School of Fine Arts, at the Art Institute of Chicago, the Art Students League in New York City, and in Taos, New Mexico, in private classes with Walter Ufer. She moved to Los Angeles in 1939 and was known for her Regionalism and Social Realism themes.
