Botocudos

Botocudos are a South American Indian people who lived in what is now the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais and were nomadic hunter-gatherers. This rare print is a beautifully hand-colored lithograph showing a native Botocudo with wooden disks or tembeitera in his bottom lip and both ears and tattoos on his face and body.  In excellent condition
