H.W. Brewer was well known for his ariel views of topographical panoramas. He was also the favorite perspectiveist of the famous architect George Frederick Bodley. This 1888 wood engraving was a supplement to The Graphic and is a wonderful detailed view of Glascow. The main central image is Glascow from the Necropolis and is surrounded by ten other scenes from the area including the University tower , the municipal buildings, harbors, churches, the University College, the Iron Works and more. Brewer is a master of detail and anyone interested in this part of the world will find this image fascinating. This print is in good condition with a few creases on the left side that will not show with framing.
