Album of New England Scenery Pittsfield New Hampshire

South view, Pittsfield New Hampshire dedicated to the citizens of Great Falls by the publisher. This beautiful hand colored lithograph is from a rare series of twenty-two views of New England by John Badger Bachelder (1825-1894) issued in 1856 and printed by Endicott & Co. Bachelder was a fine landscape painter also known for his historical images of the Civil War. This series of prints give the viewer a very accurate historical account of these New England towns during the middle of the nineteenth century. This print is in very good condition.
