Cecil Charles Windsor Aldin ( 1870-1935) British artist and illustrator was best known for his paintings and sketches of animals, sports and rural life. In 1894 he was commisioned to illustrate Rudyard Kiplings ” The Jungle Book” . He was a very popular and admired artist. This beautiful print was published by Lawrence and Bullen Ltd. London. It is in good condition except for two repaired tears that goes a little way into the image, one on the left side and the other on top mid right. There is some foxing and the edge of the border is a little ragged most of which would not show with framing. All of this can be seen in the photo. Would look very handsome when framed.
