rom Johan Wilhelm Weinmann’s ( 1683-1741 ) Phytanthoza Iconographia, a comprehensive scientific eight volume set with 1,026 plates and are amongst the earliest examples of color printing from a single plate. These extremely beautiful images of vintage antique prints include plants, trees, fruits, herbs and vegetables. Weinmann, a highly successful pharmacist and botanist, commissioned a variety of artists to illustrate his collection.
